The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come! And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty let him come; and whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life.” (Rev. 22:17, NIV)
Read Revelation 22

Cast aside the piles of paperwork. Run down numerous flights of stairs. Find your car in the attached parking garage filled with every one’s effort to keep up with the Jones’. Turn the key in the ignition and drive. Don’t glance back as you leave behind the high-rise tower filled with dimly lit rooms and myriads of cubicles. Let the city’s skyline disappear. Drive and drive and drive. Where’s your destination? A spot where the river flows.

Does the radiated heat of the black asphalt leave you parched and thirsty? Are you longing for a world where fresh water rushes past instead of traffic? Does the sight of green not associated with money entice your senses? The cool, wet river calls. You feel the rush of your senses anticipating the results of the invitation and the drive’s destination. God’s Word calls all whom need refreshing and restoration to the river’s edge. He invites those desiring the Holy Spirit’s work in their heart and innermost beings to dive into the depths of the River.

Come. Christ invites Robin, and Julie; Joyce, Elise, and Chris; Wendy, and Leah . . . Christ invites all to the River. Have you invited Jesus to come into your life? To bring his refreshing Holy Spirit into your life? Christ calls you to come!

Dear God, I understand that you came that I might have hope. I want the problems of this worldreplaced with the joy of living a life with you. Please forgive me. Help me to start my life new.
